Finding Scratch and Dent Appliances on the Cheap

If you have ever looked at buying new appliances, or even bought one before, you know that they can come at a steep price. You almost have to take out a second mortgage to get the money for one :-) .  The prices for new appliances are insane, and you don’t know where used appliances come from. That is why scratch and dent appliances might be the best option for homeowners on a budget.

Scratch & dent appliances do not necessarily have scratches or dents. They are just appliances that were returned to the store, and in turn a dealer, that are being resold. They are still basically new, but were returned by the consumer for one reason or another. They can have appearance problems, it all depends on what the first owner did, but they are essentially a new appliance at a much cheaper price.

You can expect to pay much less for scratch and dent appliances than you would for a new appliance. Some appliances sell for upwards to 50% off the retail value. That is huge savings for a new product that has barely been used. If a product has barely been used, you can almost guarantee that it is still in wonderful shape.

There are various places and options you can choose to find dent appliances. You can easily find stores and warehouses near you that offer these wonderful deals. When you are inspecting the item, check it thoroughly. Most problems can be easily repaired, such as dents which can be repaired with a plunger or even a car door dent repair kit. You can make the appliance look good as new.

Some scratch and dent refrigerators and other appliances can be missing pieces or parts. You may think this is a bad deal, but since the product is so new, you are almost guaranteed to find missing parts in stores. Sears is a great place to find replacement parts, but also check out other local appliance stores.

In general, scratch and dent appliances are a good buy for people looking for appliances for their home on a budget. With savings around several hundred dollars, you are able to focus on other things for your home. They are new items at great prices, and with a little repairs, can be looking AND working good as new. Definitely check to see if you have any scratch & dent appliance dealers near you. You can save some money quickly with them.
