Is It Better To Rent Or Buy a Carpet Cleaning Machine?

A vacuum alone can never remove all of the dirt and the odors that accumulate throughout the life of a carpet, and even home carpets may be exposed to everything from dirt and mud on shoes, through to spilled drinks and grease. These accumulate deep within the carpet fibers, making it difficult, if not impossible for a vacuum to pull them out.

This is where carpet cleaning machines can help you. All carpets, even in low traffic areas will eventually begin to become flattened and dull looking, yet with easy to use home carpet cleaning machines you can make your carpet look new again in a matter of a couple of hours, plus drying time.

carpet-cleaning-machinesCarpet cleaning machines may rely on high heat to clean them-steaming the carpets clean, or they may use a carpet shampoo solution to wash the carpet deep down within the fibers. The steam from the steam machines breaks up the dirt and grease that may be on the carpet and the shampoo acts the same as laundry detergent, breaking down the dirt into the water and then it is sucked back up into a storage tank. A steam cleaner may have the added benefit of making an area more sterile, killing any viruses or bacteria that are in the carpets because of their high heat usage.

Commercial carpet cleaning machines are available for home hire. You may choose to go this route if you do not wish to deal with the storage of a machine in your home, if you do not have the money for the up front purchase of a high end machine, or if you have so large an area of heavy soiling to handle that you need the cleaning power of a commercial machine.

Hiring a commercial machine can prove costly though, and if you have enough work to do and so need to hire a machine for several days, you may find that it is cheaper to just buy a home carpet cleaning machine of your own.

carpet-cleaning-machines-afterThere is no best carpet cleaning machine, instead there are a very wide range of machines and of cleaning solutions to go with them. Each machine will have different features and some will be more powerful than others, or easier to use. Which one is best for you will depend upon which best meets your needs and your budget.

With good maintenance your carpet cleaning machine can last for many years.
