How to Clean Venetian Blinds Quickly

Cleaning is an essential function for keeping a house looking nice. There is no need to mention all the areas within the house where the cleaning should be applied. But as it is, if you ask different people what their favorite or least favorite cleaning jobs are, you will certainly get a wide range of different answers. Using Water to Clean Blinds Just Doesn’t Work

Using just water and wiping them out did not appear to be a good solution. The problem even gets more difficult as it turns out that blinds should be cleaned a few times during the year. If you do not maintain cleaning regularly, then the few times a year cleaning is required, it will take up  lots of time as there’ll be dust and dirt that accumulates.

Taking the  Blinds Down to Clean Them

One of the best ways to clean venetian blinds is to remove the blinds from the window. The because it will be hard to perform a proper cleaning while they are hanging up. Some people then try to clean them in the bathtub, but this attempt often ends in frustration. One of the best ways to clean them will be discussed further and can be applied on all the types of blind, whether they be horizontal or vertical in design. This does, however, exclude cloth blinds.

This method begins with taking the blinds outside and laying them on a big clean towel; if you do not have any towels large enough for the job, use a blanket. Of course, be sure you do not use a blanket or towel that you’re using every day. Open the blinds and keep the individual blind close. Prepare a bucket filled with soap and water. Clean the blinds by scrubbing them, using a soft-bristled brush. After you have finished the front side, turn the blinds over and clean them completely. After that, rinse the soap off of the blinds. Then find something on which you can hang the blinds. Rinse them and then finally dry them off. You may also consider joining each of the individual blinds to avoid spots.

There are also some easier ways for cleaning such as purchasing a tricket, which looks like a like a squeegee with tongs. Trickets are available in most cleaning and home improvement stores. The solution is very handy since you can clean both sides simultaneously.

If this easy method still sounds too complicated for you or you do not have time to perform this task, you could always hire someone to clean it for you. Usually professional blinds cleaners do the job for the larger fees as opposed to nonprofessional cleaners that you can find almost everywhere.
