Organizing your house the right way is sometimes all that is needed to provide it with a quick and easy makeover. Have you ever before noticed how much different your house appears after you have spent the weekend cleaning it up, and putting everything back in its place? It can’t be over-stressed how important it is to have a home that is ship shape and well-run. Typically, after such a weekend, you will feel like you have raised a huge burden off of your shoulders.

One key to organizing your home is to create a system.  When you put a system in place that triggers your family and home to run in an efficient manner, you will reap what you sow, many times over. Added time will result in being with those you love most much longer. There are some preparations you need to make before you get started. You already know you need to adjust your orginization when you aren’t able to find anything anymore, because everything is piled upon on one another. The best way to address this problem is to create a plan and implement it in small steps. 

For example, as an alternative to filling your closets with a variety  of shoes, you’d be better of to put one main storage unit in the front of the hall that is visually appealing. Then you can store all your shoewear there…right before you go out the door.   It’s great too for kids, becuase its so easy to drop their shoes into the bin,  they’ll often take the opportunity to utilize it.

. You may need to remind your youngsters sometimes but tenacity pays off. Creating a routine and habit for your children may take a short while, but once they have it down they will know it for the rest of their lives.

Another simple solution for quick orginization is  for your keys.   You can purchase small racks with hooks on them and hang it right by your door.   Another option is to have a small bowl you can place them in. Perhaps you would rather use a tray on your bureau, and whatever works for you, is what you should do.

Sorting through junk mail everyday  when you get it is best done immediately upon looking at it.  That way you only have to touch it once. 

Your kitchen area is often cleaned up and arranged by using plastic storage containers for spices, baking goods or anything that can cause clutter. Classy baskets can hold various items from your bathroom. Inside your den, you might have baskets and trunks for kids gadgets, movies, and books. Each step you take to make your home function better, will bring your family closer together.
