It seems today with the advent of pools that are large enough for a family to lounge in and also can be put up level ground in a matter of a couple of hours, that more and more people are enjoying the pleasures of pool ownership.  But once you’ve got the pool up what are you going to do with it? Get out your pool floats and pool toys and get ready for some fun!

When the hot summer months come rolling in,  there is nothing better than lounging in your swimming pool for a couple of hours. When you get bored of splashing around and playing, you may want to just relax a little, and for that there is nothing more perfect than swimming pool floats.

There are almost as many types of pool float as there are things that you might want to do in the pool. For the largest pools there are swimming pool floats that may hold two or three people on a raft with seats. Smaller versions may seat just one person in a lounger or on an air bed and smaller still are the foam pool floats that may be used in teaching people to swim. These may be in the form of small lilos, pool noodles or small foam pool floats.

There are pool floats that allow you to play games, such as floating basketball or volleyball nets, that come complete with floating balls. Other types of pool float may be a little more high tech-pool floats in the shape of a boat with a battery powered motor to propel you around the pool or that act as a kind of a water feature, self powered by being attached to a hose and spray the occupants of the pool.

Even the youngest amongst us can enjoy time cooling off in the pool with a baby pool float that will support the baby and help keep them safe. Though supervision is needed, a baby pool float will allow the baby to be with the family in a custom sized seat, often suspended from a larger foam pool float, or an inflatable. Some come with a sun canopy too, to keep little ones safer from the sun.

Of the largest scale pool floats available there is an impressive trampoline on a float. With the jumping surface measuring fifteen foot across, and optional slides available these would be the ultimate in summer fun! These of course would take up considerable room and are likely better suited to a lake than a home pool.
