Yes we agree with you. This really wasn't a long term solution...but rather one that would get our garage door working until we could find replacement garage door sensors. UL325 is an important saftey standard, and that's why we stated not to even think of trying to mess with your garage door sensors if you have any concerns about someone getting caught when the garage door closes.
