Do you have some walkways or sidewalks at your home that you need some additional saftey lighting? Are you wondering how to do this task without a lot of hassle? Solar yard lights will do the trick for you. They are easy to install and work off the sun’s power. These lights will not impact your electric bill at all. Thanks to the sun giving you free energy.
These lights are so quick to install it is hard to believe. But you have no confusing wiring that needs to be done. This means you can install these by yourself without paying a professional to do them. You can get different styles of these lights to fit your particular type of yard. Maybe you just want some small lights that aren’t ostentatious, but instead just put out enough light for you to see the path. Solar powered yard lights are perfect for this task.

Other solar yard lights are taller and on poles, with these you can even see some of the plantings near the lights. These shed a bit more light than the smaller ones do. You can get lanterns that hang or sit of ledges in cases you have a wall railing by your walkway. It is really personal preference on the style of lighting you get.
If you are concerned about safety you would need brighter lights, and probably more of them then if you are only trying to see where to walk. In some parts of the country it is more dangerous than others so you will need to analyze your own need on this.
But if you want to light up your walkways or garden pathways just so that you can walk comfortably through them, a more subdued lighting would be fine. Just think how nice it would be to traverse your garden paths with these type of yard lights.
Solar lights can be put any distance from the house they are needed because no wiring is needed. So no matter how large you yard is you can still line your walkways easily. Just space them about 2 feet apart from each other further if desirable. You can adjust this some as you are putting them in as long as you have planned about how many lights are needed.
To figure this map out a layout for your lights. Figure about 2 feet apart and see if this distance is right for your yard. For brighter lit walkways add more lights closer together, for less light space further apart and less fixtures.
When you light up your pathways or walkways this not only makes it easier to see and safer, but enables you to use your yard during more hours of the day….and also on a more consistent basis. You will not just have to enjoy your yard during daylight hours anymore. You can enjoy in the evenings too and sit out and watch the stars.
After you install your lights it will take them a bit to charge and then you are ready to go. You are using one of the best renewable energy sources that there is. So you will be doing the green thing with your outdoor lighting.
