Fitted Wardrobes Create Instant Closet and Storage Space

Buy or Build Your Own Fitted Wardrobe

If there is ever a place in our home that seems like it is just not big enough, it is where we hang our clothes.  As the seasons change we buy new clothes and need to find a place to put them.  If you do not have additional closets throughout your home, or they are all occupied, finding a place to move last seasons clothing can prove to be a pain.  You may have to store them in tubs or fold them into plastic storage bins, but what if some of those clothes are good for all seasons?  How do you deal with a home that does not have significant closet storage?  The answer is a fitted wardrobe.fitted wardrobe

Not all homes are equipped with ample storage space and walk in closets, and so a solution had to be made, and that is where the fitted wardrobe came into play.  As the name states, you can have your wardrobe custom built the way you prefer.  This is a dream come true for most women.  While most men only tend to need a place to hang their shirts, pants a few shoes and some belts and ties, women have a lot more accessories. They need room for their big collection of shoes, drawers for all their undergarments, a place for their blouses, skirts, pants, hats and scarf’s.  Having the ability to design a storage solution to meet their particular needs is not only convenient but a great way to stay organized.

Before buying your fitted wardrobe it is important to decide where the wardrobe will be installed.  Since it is not a free standing piece of furniture and does actually get attached to the room, you want to be happy with where it is going as it will be there for a long time to come. Installing it in a larger room is the best idea, but if you have a smaller room with an area of unoccupied space it can easily transform the room into something really impressive.

It is also important to remember that not all fitted wardrobes are created equally.  While you may be tempted by that bargain wardrobe price, you want to ensure that you buy quality. This is an investment and an improvement to your home.  Should you ever decide to sell your home this can be a great selling feature, and so you want something that will last for a long time.  We are all looking for ways to save money, but as with all home upgrades, it is important to pay for quality the first them rather than having to replace it again later on down the road.  If you feel up to the task, it is quite possible to build your own fitted wardrobe over a single weekend.  Check out this video of how to do it yourself.

Finding a Reliable Contractor to Build Your Fitted Wardrobe

If building a wardrobe yourself seems a bit too much to handle, then visit a few online retailers to check out the various types of fitted wardrobes for sale online.  It is likely that you’ll be able to find either a handy solution or wardrobe there…or you may be able to find a reliable local contractor that could build it for you.  I’ve successfully used a great referral service called Angie’s list that helps homeowners find A+ grade companies.  No matter what you end up deciding, a fitted wardrobe is a fun easy project that adds valuable space to your home.
