Can You Trust Your Baby Sitter? Stop The Worry With a Hidden Nanny Camera

Many parents are choosing to keep an eye on their nannies these days. It seems like a new horror story involving a nanny or baby sitter pops up on the news all too often. It’s sad that so many child predators, abusers, and irresponsible individuals are applying for child care giving jobs, but it seems that many of them are doing just that. Thankfully, parents can keep an eye on things by installing a nanny camera in their home.

If you’re unsure as to whether or not you can trust your babysitter, then you need to get a camera and hide it inside your home. Or perhaps you can trust your nanny, but still want to watch over your house while you’re gone, just to be on the safe side. You can hide one in your wall, in a stuffed toy, baby monitor, on top of a shelf, etc. They’re not very big, so you shouldn’t have any problems with hiding it. You could also install one in your living room, kitchen, and your child’s room so that you can see what’s going on at all times.

As mentioned above, some hidden nanny cameras are wireless. They’re a bit more expensive than the wired ones, but they’re a lot more convenient and easy to set up. If you have a router in your home, you can watch the video on a computer. The receiver or cable can be connected to a DVR or VCR. Just make sure that the camera itself is well hidden from the nanny’s sight.

Some parents feel uncomfortable with the thought of spying, though, so you can inform your nanny or babysitter if you want to. He or she probably won’t mind all that much just as long as he/she isn’t hiding anything. If you choose to be honest about the nanny camera, and the nanny doesn’t seem to like the idea of being watched, then you may want to consider hiring a new one.

While nobody really relishes the thought of being watched, an understanding nanny will realize that the overall purpose of the camera is ensure safety for your children, and that is something that many reliable people can respect
